First Polaroid, Music & First Text Abbreviation Typewriter
Did you ever consider that the first polaroid was probably the Tintype? The first two photos show an album of portrait tintypes. This process was popular in the 1860's and 70's. Wanders could easily produce a quick photo at open air fairs and carnivals. This process was also used during the Civil War to photograph individual soldiers and battle scenes. In the wild west the images of covered wagons were reproduced. This tintype process lasted 40 years (as a carnival novelty) after albumen prints on paper were discovered in the mid 1860's.
Pictured is a trumpet and violin and an old radio. Back to the simpler times.
Writers enjoy the nostalgic old typewriters to channel their creativity.
And the last photo is a stenograph typewriter. Did you ever think this was the first text abbreviation typewriter?
