Hoosier Cupboards came with racks and hardware for spices, etc. There was a combination flour bin/sifter, tin hopper and sugar bin. Glassware was designed especially for this piece--coffee/tea canisters, salt box & spice jars, cracker jar, cylindrical jars with a ring molded around the center to rest in holes of metal hanging rack. Inside the doors were usually cards with measuring conversions, sample menus and household helps (before Pinterest). These Hoosiers were incorporated in 1899 and popular into the 20's.
