Thiel Memory Drawing of Shop & Church, Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery Today

Greg Thiel drew the above picture of the Olde Plow Shoppe building and adjacent church on a napkin while sitting at the Golden Basket Restaurant in Appleton.  He is very knowledgeable about churches and the history of them and drew this from memory when someone asked him about the church in Landstad.

The church is no longer here, but this is the cemetery today.

Milk and Egg Delivery

Under the lean-to: the farmer would drive the horse pulling the wagon to the store and pull up under the lean-to and the milk cans would be hoisted up on the loading dock and taken into the cheese factory.  They may have also delivered eggs and this could be used in exchange for groceries at the store.
